This blog will provide all the info you need to run your Store Championship! Your prize support should've already shipped - if you have not received tracking information and/or if you have any concerns about your prizing making it on time, please let us know ASAP so we can help - simply reply to this email and we'll be there.
Store Championships (formerly known as Store Regionals) are more competitive events than a typical local tournament and have Qualifier Points (QP) on the line for players. Your local players will lock in more than usual and you may have some visitors beyond your usual crowd. We hope that these events excite your players and bring more business to your stores. There are a few things you need to know:
Participation: Every player should get a "Windjinn - Champion of Aeolus" Promo card and a Premier Pack. The Windjinn promo is exclusive to this event, while Premier Packs are a special opportunity to get a pack that typically isn't available at the local level.
Prizing: The champion should get the "Tornadjinn - Champion of Aeolus" Promo card. Additional Premier Packs that were included in your shipment should be used as part of the event prizing. If you wish to supplement the prizing with your usual Organized Play packs or other set packs, you may do so at your discretion. In addition, players are competing for QP, but we'll handle awarding that automatically through the play network.
Rules enforcement: Store Championships are a higher stakes event. As such, the organizer of the event cannot play in it as well. Elestrals staff are also not permitted to participate. You may have Elestrals Judges or Rules Helpers who play at your store, but if none are available, we recommend the Rules Questions channel in the Elestrals Discord for guidance.
Decklist submission: Players will need to submit decklists through the play network for this event. While many players at your store will likely be familiar with this process, we've put together a quick video to show different ways to do it. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/
